Privacy. Horizon has no account, no ads and no analytics. It doesn't track you, and it doesn't sell or share anything about you. This page says exactly what it does with your information, in plain words.
Effective 6 November 2026. Horizon is made by Muhammad Raufan Yusup, an independent developer in Japan.
The short version
- Your prayer times are calculated on your iPhone.
- Your settings stay on your iPhone.
- Two things go to Apple, and only to Apple: your location, to name your city and to get the weather. Neither is linked to you by Horizon.
- Nothing comes to me unless you write to me.
Location
With Automatic location on, Horizon uses your iPhone's location to work out prayer times and the Qibla. That happens on your iPhone. To show your city's name, Horizon asks Apple's location service, which receives your coordinates. Apple handles them under Apple's Privacy Policy.
You can choose a city yourself instead. Then Horizon never asks for your location at all, and nothing about where you are leaves your iPhone except for the weather, below.
Weather
Horizon gets the forecast from Apple Weather, so Apple receives the location of your chosen place when the weather is fetched. Horizon keeps the forecast on your iPhone for up to three days, so the sky works offline.
What's stored on your iPhone
Your settings (place, calculation method, offsets, reminders and units), the saved forecast, and a note of whether you have Horizon Pro. They're shared only with Horizon's own widgets, on the same iPhone. Deleting Horizon deletes them. If you back up your iPhone, they're part of that backup, as with any app.
Reminders, widgets and the Live Activity
Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. Widgets and the Live Activity are drawn on your iPhone from the same settings. None of them use a server.
Purchases
Horizon Pro is bought through the App Store. Apple handles the payment, and Horizon never sees your payment details. Horizon checks your purchase with Apple on your iPhone. Family Sharing works the same way.
If you write to me
If you send feedback or an email, I receive what you send and your email address, and use them only to read and reply. I don't add you to any list.
If you test Horizon through TestFlight, Apple may share crash reports and any feedback you choose to send with me, under TestFlight's terms.
Children
Horizon collects nothing from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this ever changes, this page will change first, with a new date at the top. Horizon will never start collecting anything without saying so here.
