Horizon is a prayer times app that lives in the sky you're under. The real sky for your place and hour, with the real weather, and the next prayer resting quietly on it.
Free for iPhone. Coming before Ramadan.
For iPhone with iOS 18 or later. No account, no ads.
Try it. Drag the sun across the day, and the sky follows: indigo before Fajr, high white at Dhuhr, amber Asr, ember Maghrib. In the app it's drawn live, with your real weather.
Your day changes shape with the seasons. Most prayer apps show it as a table. Horizon lets you see it.
See the season, not just the time. In Tokyo, Isha comes around 17:55 in December and 20:40 in June. The arc of the day stretches and shrinks with it, so you feel that Isha comes early now before you read the number.
The real weather, in the real sky. Clouds follow each hour's actual cloud cover, from a few drifting patches to overcast. When it rains, drops rest on the glass and slide down. Tap the temperature for the day's curve, with each prayer marked on it: 15° at Maghrib.
Hold for the whole day. Hold the next prayer and all six moments open above your thumb, each with its weather. Slide through them and the sky goes there with you. Swipe the sky for tomorrow, or hold the date to look ten days ahead.
Times that match your community. There's no single right way to calculate prayer times, so Horizon starts from your country's method, says which one and why, and makes it easy to change. It only says "Recommended" where it has checked against the official timetable.
The next prayer, at a glance. Widgets for your Home Screen and Lock Screen, and a Live Activity that fills toward the next prayer like an hourglass, drawn over the sky as it will be at that prayer. Most days you won't need to open the app.
Free where it matters. Most prayer apps I tried showed ads, wanted an account, or charged for the basics. Horizon has none of that.
Your location goes to Apple only to name your city and fetch the weather. Choose a city yourself and Horizon never asks where you are. Read the privacy policy.
And the details nobody asked for.
The real moon
Below the horizon the sun turns into tonight’s moon, in its real phase.
Qibla on the sky
A beam toward Makkah. Face it and the sky itself warms, with one soft tap.
A calendar that follows the moon
Hijri dates under every day. Ramadan is a ribbon of light, and the Eids bloom.
A gentle chime
Reminders with a soft struck bell made for Horizon. No alarms, no adhan blasting.
Your mosque’s minutes
Nudge any prayer by a few minutes to match the timetable on your mosque’s wall.
Hanafi or Standard Asr
And the high-latitude rules for long summer days in the north.
Sounds like a watch
Scrolling through days gives a tiny, dry click, like the crown of a fine watch.
Works offline
Times need no connection. The forecast is kept for three days.
Reduce Motion, respected
Every movement has a calm version that fades instead.
Coming next. Planned, not promised.
Ramadan
Iftar and suhoor countdowns, imsak, a suhoor alarm that rings through silent mode, and a Ramadan sky.
Your language
Indonesian, Malay, Turkish and Japanese, read by people who speak them.
Another sky
Keep one more place, like a parent's city, and see its sky and its next prayer beside yours.
The year, as light
Every day of the year at once, so you can watch each prayer drift with the seasons.
Apple Watch
The next prayer on your wrist, and one firm tap when it's time.
Gift Horizon Pro
Send Pro to family or a friend for Eid, wrapped in the sky of their own city.
Made in Tokyo by
Raufan, a product designer who wanted to feel the shape of the day, not read it off a table. It's early, and I'd love to build the rest with you.
Is it free?
Yes. Prayer times, reminders, the Qibla, the calendar, the live sky with today's weather and the Home Screen widgets are free, and always will be. Horizon Pro adds the Lock Screen widgets, the Live Activity, the forecast for the days ahead and a heads-up before each prayer. During Ramadan, Pro is open to everyone.
Why is there a Pro at all?
So Horizon can stay independent and ad-free. Pro pays for the weather data, Apple's developer fees, and the time to keep making it better. Prayer itself never costs anything.
How much is Pro?
$3.99 a month or $19.99 a year, each with a week free, or $59.99 once. Family Sharing is included. Prices vary by country.
Which iPhones does it run on?
Any iPhone with iOS 18 or later. On iOS 26 it uses Liquid Glass.
Which calculation methods does it support?
Muslim World League, ISNA, the Moonsighting Committee, Umm al-Qura, Egyptian, Karachi, Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, Kemenag, JAKIM, MUIS, Diyanet, Tehran and more, with Standard or Hanafi Asr and per-prayer offsets.
Why does it ask for my location?
To work out your prayer times and the Qibla, on your iPhone. You can choose a city instead and never be asked.
What does it know about me?
Only your settings, kept on your iPhone. There's no account and nothing is sent to me. Apple receives your location to name your city and get the weather. The privacy policy has every detail.
The sky you pray under. The beta opens soon, so you can help shape it before Ramadan.
Free, through TestFlight. iPhone with iOS 18 or later.
